Krissten Richter was a Human female who served in Starfleet in the late 24th century. In 2373, Ensign Richter was assigned as a nurse aboard the Deep Space 9 and her attached starship, the USS Defiant. Shortly after her assignment to DS9, Richter became romantically involved with Bajoran security officer, Etana Kol. (DS9 comic: "Requiem in Obsidian") In 2376, Richter served as Doctor Julian Bashir's chief assistant during the Defiant's three-month exploratory mission of the Gamma Quadrant.
