Aleksandrovsk (Finn. Santerila) is a small Uralican city in northern Permski Rayon, a short drive north of Kizel on Highway UH-12. Founded in 1783, Aleksandrovsk started out as a metallurgy town, with iron and steel production being the main industry, which carries through to this day. In the 1920s, a machine-building plant was founded, which would become the starting point of a large industry of the same in Aleksandrovsk. Later, rail-making, road-building material production, and hi-tech would become reasonable presences in the city. There is also a brick-making factory
