The Battle of Dagary Minor was the New Republic strike back attack from the Battle of Gala in which the Galactic Empire had secretly attacked a New Republic military outpost on the planet. New Republic leaders had decided to also secretly attack the Empire. They choose the planet of Dagary Minor which the Empire had annexed during its expansion in 70 ABY. The 200,000 Dark Troopers and 40,000 Chiss Marines stationed on Dagary Minor would be dominated by only 90,000 New Republic and 500 Jedi. It took only several days for the New Republic to fully capture the planet. The Empire and Chiss fell back, with the Chiss, along with their leader, Commander Sign, retreated to Chiss space.
