The song is the third single from the group's second studio album "Happiness and Break Ups". "Standing Ovation" is only included in the US iTunes version of "Happiness and Break Ups", and is not currently available in the UK and other countries. "Standing Ovation" is due to be released in the UK and other countries on June 18, 2016. The song was produced by Swizz Beatz and Kanye West. "Standing Ovation" replaced "Sexy Me" as the third single due to popular demand, but the band has said "Sexy Me" could still be released at some point.
