New Year's Resolutions are a running gag in Calvin and Hobbes. Usually, when Hobbes asks if Calvin is making any resolutions, he responds by saying that he's going to remain as he is. In some cases, Calvin remarks about how things haven't seemed to change, such as advanced technology or environmentalism.
