Commander Orez was an ONI officer during the early days of the Human-Covenant war. A Prowler Commander, Orez arrived with his ship at a UNSC staging area in deep space on the 3rd of January 2531 to contact Admiral Preston Cole and requested some ships to assist the damaged UNSC Prophecy near Harvest. Cole sent the UNSC Spirit of Fire, and distrusting ONI, warned Captain Cutter he'd probably "be in for more than a clean-up operation"
