The 2011–12 NFL playoffs following the 2011 regular season began on January 7, 2012, and ended with the New York Giants defeating the New England Patriots 21-17 in Super Bowl XLVI on February 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. NBC broadcasted the first two Wild Card playoff games and Super Bowl XLVI. CBS aired the rest of the AFC playoff games and Fox the rest of the NFC games.
