The Grimhold Mountains were a mountain range in northern Tortall, forming a natural border between Tortall and Scanra. The Great Road North ran through these mountains, connecting the City of the Gods with Trebond through Trebond Way, the the southwest the northern reaches of the Coastal Hills bordered on the Grimhold Mountains. Around Trebond the area consists of "heavily overgrown and rocky country". There the mountains were covered in dark and unfriendly-seeming woods.
