Adventure Team was a special mission force for the United States military. Created in 1970 by US Joint Chiefs of Staff and led by Joseph Colton, Adventure Team assembled mission specialists to tackle threats anywhere from the four corners of the Earth... and beyond. Adventure Team served as the model for the later Counter-terrorist Group Delta which was named G.I. Joe in honor of Joe Colton.
