Syaoran is the adoptive son of Fujitaka, an archeologist interested in the ruins of Clow Country. About mid-way through the series, it is revealed he is the clone and paradox father of the 'real' Syaoran Li. Created by Wei Wong Reed, he was made for the purpose of collecting Princess Sakura's feathers.
