The 1970 Talladega 500 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Talladega Superspeedway on August 23, 1970. Pete Hamilton won his third and final race of the season, leading 153 of 188 laps in route to a ten second victory over eventual season champion Bobby Isaac. It was the first ever NASCAR race covered on television, as ABC Sports put the race in a ninety-minute time slot.Stats
