The 1956-39 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) - Pacific Coast Late Model Series combination event held at Bay Meadows Speedway on August 19, 1956. A crash shortened the event, but it was alright with Eddie Pagan who held off Parnelli Jones for his first career victory. Eventual season champ Buck Baker finished 35th. Stats
