Ryouma is as cold as ice. He gained his X Loader from Bagramon when Yuu Shapiro got his X Loader from SkullKnightmon, but Ryouma wasn't taken into the Digital World, the reason is Bagramon, wanted to keep him in reserve. When DarknessBagramon was defeated by Shoutmon ×8 Superior Mode, Ryouma's X Loader is given back to him with DarknessBagramon's Melody stored in it. Ryouma soon discovers the airspace known as the "DigiQuartz", and he meets Psychemon and with DarknessBagramon's help Psychemon gains the power to Darkness Digivolve to Astamon.
