Boff was a reaper who served in the 122nd Reapers. Boff was a three-time murderer, and was thus incarcerated into the Reaper Corps. During the Second Great War or End War, his unit was present in Northwoods Forest, New Sydney, assisting the 934th Marines in flushing out the zerg there. During the battle, Boff clipped a tree while using his jetpack, nearly ploughing into the marines on the forest floor. He got an earful from Grounder in response. Such was Grounder's vitriol that Boff was left speechless.
