Paul Chequer is the actor who played DI Dimmock in Sherlock. He has been active in the television industry since 1999, with his first credit being in Tea with Mussolini. He became well-known after that with his subsequent casting in the BBC drama As If, in which he was the main male lead. He graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1998.
