Once he was the leader of the elite guard under the name of Big Convoy but when Optimus Prime had to succumb to into uncontrollable stasis lock to repair vector sigma, he left the matrix to him making him Mamonus Prime. As the latest of the matrix bearers, Mamonus declared his first new law to be that all predacons were to be kept an eye on at all times. However when the predacons learnt of this large groups of them revolted until a group of them stole the golden disk and the Darksyde cruiser. Since then Mamonus has spent his time trying to settle the unrest between the Maximals and the Predacons. He is suspicious of Magmatron.
