Karniss was a small volcanic planet located in the Karniss system just outside of the Rishi Maze. During the Clone Wars Karniss hosted a Separatist base and a large droid foundry. In 23 BBY, after clone intelligence discovered the base, the Republic attacked the planet, striking one of the first blows in the Outer Rim Sieges.
