Paul Fix (b. March 13, 1901 - d. October 14, 1983) began his film career in silent films during the 1920s. He appeared in over 200 films, including the original Scarface (1932), To Kill A Mockingbird (1962, with Brock Peters), Mail Order Bride (1964, with Barbara Luna and William Smith), and Shenandoah (1965, with James McMullan). Taylor is perhaps best remembered by fans of classic television for his portrayal of "Marshal Micah Torrance" on The Rifleman (1958 - 1963), and his appearance as "Dr. Mark Piper" on Star Trek (1966, with Gary Lockwood, George Takei, and Paul Carr). Taylor also guest starred on Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law (1971), Emergency! (1972, 1975), and Battlestar Galactica (1979). He died of kidney failure in Los Angeles, California.
