Matt Rust (born March 23, 1989 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan) is an American centre currently playing for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. He was chosen 101st overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. The Panthers traded him in March, 2010, to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Mathieu Roy. Rust played for the United States in the 2007 and the 2008 World Championships.
