In Greek mythology, Jason was a hero who led the Argonauts in their quest for the Golden Fleece. In DC continuity, Zeus brings Jason to life as a Gargarean in an attempt to create a replacement tribe for the Amazons. He is aided by Euphemus, who betrays Jason by pledging allegiance to Ares. Jason's ship, the Argo, is also resurrected, and despite its ancient appearance, is capable of defeating a modern United States Navy warship.
