Julius Erasmus was a Galactic Republic general and politician who conquered the whole of the Mid Rim before plunging the Republic into a bitter civil war, one which lasted for four years, between the years of 149 BBY and 145 BBY. He emerged from this war victorious and with the title of 'Dictator for Life', effectively Emperor. He was assassinated in 144 BBY by a group of senators.
