The Leipzig Games Convention, better known as Games Convention or GC, was an annual gaming convention held from 2002 up to 2010 in Leipzig, Germany, that also covered edutainment, infotainment, and hardware. The convention had been formed by the Leipzig Fair. Boasting 183,000 visitors, 25 representing countries, 368 exhibitions, and 2,600 journalists in 2006, it was tied with Tokyo Game Show as being the biggest game-related event, surpassing E3 2006 and only being surpassed by Gamescom in 2009, which also took place in Germany (specifically, Cologne).
