Nathan Royal Scott was a high school basketball player dreaming of being accepted by his father, Dan Scott. He is the only son of Deb Scott, but is the second son of Dan Scott, who had fallen in love with his high school sweetheart, Karen Roe, who had fallen pregnant with their son, Lucas Eugene Scott.
