Affa was a moderately powerful djinni, about as powerful as Bartimaeus. It is never said how old he is; he is only mentioned in Ptolemy's Gate as one of Ptolemy's four trusted djinni. The others are Penrunetet, Bartimaeus himself, and Teti. Apparently, he is close friends with Bartimaeus, since they treated each other with respect, and told each other, "fly well". He died in 124 BC, while defending Ptolemy from his evil cousin's djinni. When Ptolemy's djinni fought the enemy ones, he was the first to die, then Penrunetet, and the Teti. Bartamaeus was the lone survivor.
