[Source] Formex was a polymeric construction material used to build a variety of architectural designs, including columns and roadways. As a fluid, it could be poured into castings on site and manipulated to form various shapes and structures. Formex was commonly used in buildings, including those found on the planet Etti IV, in Bonadan's Spaceport Southeast II area, on Harridan, in Vandalar City on Reaper's World, in Kavila on Dalos IV, and as support structures and floors in Mesa 291 on Bothawui. Shaped formex and permacite were commonly used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic as building materials for their outposts.
