The Geranium Project was a a secret project organized by the Office of Special Services of the Department of Magical Affairs. It's ultimate goal was to develop a way to manipulate the genes of a person, as to release the magical potential locked in Squibs and Muggles. While promising, the project was ultimately abandoned due to budget constraints. However, the project did produce one success, this being the Squib Vacine.
