While searching an Italian Cruise ship near the French coast "Frankie" (Franklin's nickname) trips on a dead person killed by the virus. He trips and his mask comes off and says "I don't want to die like these people". Frankie then uses his standard .45 caliber service pistol and shoots himself in the head.
