The Starfarer was a Federation-registered passenger ship in service during the late 23rd century. In the year 2269 the still-new ship suffered a life support failure while eight days away from the planet Krasni. The starship USS Enterprise had stopped at Krasni for shore leave, but the crew had to cut leave short to rescue the passengers of the Starfarer.
