Mass Effect is a planned American science fiction action film based on the video game of the same name under development by Electronic Arts' newly acquired BioWare division. Set in 2183, the film follows an elite human soldier named Commander Shepard as he sets out to destroy Sovereign, a Reaper command ship that is threatening the galaxy.
