Myke Chypurz aka Storm Boy once applied to join for the Legion of Super-Heroes. At first it appeared that Storm Boy had the power to control the weather, but he kept a weather-control device hidden in his clothes that gave him his powers and Cosmic Boy discovered his deception and evicted him from the tryouts. Years later, when the Legion was going through a bad time after the 'Black Dawn' event, Storm Boy was finally inducted into the Legion. He was a member only briefly, however, and did not distinguish himself greatly.
