The Imperial Retribution of Coruscant, also known as the Sixth Battle of Coruscant, was the first major battle of 15 ABY, proceeding several months after the Desolation of Cochran. It was the culmination of nearly two years of planning, realized by the Imperial Blitzkrieg. The battle saw the elimination of the New Republic Senate, the capture of Coruscant by the Galactic Empire, and a great loss of New Republic Military resources.
