Eli Peter Madison is a homosexual, cross-dressing millionaire who was the prime suspect of the disappearance of his second ex-wife Caroline, and the murder and dismemberment of his neighbor Roger Barry. There was no evidence to implicate him in Caroline's disappearance, while he was acquitted for second-degree murder in relation to the death of Barry. However, a follow-up investigation found Madison responsible for the New Mexico death of his friend and lover Dwayne Evans, who would have corroborated an alibi he had for Caroline's disappearance.
