A lightsaber was a weapon used by Force-sensitives, more commonly those belonging to either the Jedi or the Sith orders. Lightsabers consisted of a plasma blade, powered by a special crystal, and emitted from a metallic hilt. In the hands of an untrained individual, the lightsaber can prove to be deadly to the one who wields it, but in the hands of an expert of the Force, the lightsaber is a weapon to be both respected and feared.
