Vor privilege referred to the benefit of being Vor on Barrayar, also called the "Vor power network". The benefits that came from being Vor were particularly great in the days of the Time of Isolation and Dorca, when it was not unfair to call the Vor a "closed caste of self-serving horse goons". With the reforms to the Imperial Service instituted by Piotr Vorkosigan, times changed: "Twenty years of Imperial service, and [anyone can] step out for all practical purposes an honorary Vor".
