His parents died the year before, in a gang war in the lower levels. The boy was rescued by a Thakwaash named Kotep Verda, a Mandalorian. Kotep took the boy in as a son and trained him, in a similar manner to his own training. A side effect of being raised to think like a Thakwaash left the boy with two distinct personalities: a cheerful, careless one; and a thrill-seeking warrior one.
