Kate Stewart worked at Freescale Semiconductor from 2004-2010 on PowerPC systems running Linux. She gave a talk entitled "Sharing Package Copyright and Licensing Data Effectively" at linux.conf.au 2010. In August 2010, she joined Canonical as Ubuntu Release Manager, with her first day being at DebConf 10.
