Matsaro was a male Bolian employed as a bodyguard by the Asfar Qatala in the early 24th century. In 2336, he was to escort Starfleet Commander Samir al-Halak and Lieutenant Anisar Batra out of Maltabra City and to a hidden shuttle they could take off-planet. However, when Halak realized the shuttle had been booby-trapped, Matsaro threatened both with a Breen pulse gun, and killed Batra. Halak in turn killed Matsaro, repeatedly crushing his skull with a large rock. (TLE novel: Well of Souls)
