Legionnaires are the backbone of the Sorran Army, they carry out large scale invasions, occupations, and defensive operations. Roughly 1% of the population enters the armed forces during any given period. With the large economical and social base to support the armed forces a profession in the service of the commonwealth is regarded with the utmost respect. Despite not having been in a major war since the Alien War of old the Sorran army has all but forgotten how to fight. The number of combat Legionnaires is estimated at almost 12 Million with Millions more support personel.
