The K'mpec class was a type of heavy warship fielded by the Klingon Empire during the 24th century. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 3: Ships of the Klingon Empire) The K'mpec's basic design was based on that of the Vor'cha-class, but was increased to a larger hull size. The warp nacelles were moved backwards slightly so to create a more efficient warp field and had the upper wedge-shaped module closer to the hull to reduce its vulnerability. The bridge module was also moved to the ventral side of the forward shaft.
