Leannán was born in the town of Tranquilien in what is now known as the Ghostlands in Quel'Thalas. Her family was wealthy, and she has no siblings. Her father wanted a boy, so she got a boys name, and is therefore using the name Leah as her real name, and refrains from using the full name. By the time she turned 14, her father sent her to a private school inSilvermoon, there she graduated best in her class. Her mother wanted her to move to Dalaran to get a higher education within the arts of magic.
