Jeb Stuart III (d. 1915) was a captain in the Confederate Army during the Great War. He commanded an artillery battery in the First Richmond Howitzers. A grandson of Jeb Stuart, Jeb III's aristocratic lineage promised a meteoric rise in the ranks of the CS Army's officer corps. However, when Jake Featherston, a sergeant in his battery, found reason to suspect that Stuart's manservant, Pompey, was a socialist and was highly placed in the Red Rebellion, Stuart ran interference to prevent the Army of Northern Virginia's Intelligence Corps from investigating him. Had he not done so it is entirely possible that the rebellion would have never occurred.
