Born on Coruscant, Cauthon was abandoned as a child. Picked up by a gang of space pirates, he was raised to smuggle goods and fly a trifighter. Cauthon often negotiated the space pirates out of binds and later Learned hand -to-hand combat, he practiced and became fluent in wielding a shortened vibrosword borrowed from the children on board. Soon realizing how horrible the life of a space pirate was, he sought training in the Jedi order to better his life and strengthen his mind. Once joining the Jedi Order, he was taken as Zaria Secura's Padawan.
