The Shadow Guard are elite troops from who are eager to prove themselves on the battlefield. They are heavily armored and deal heavy damage but are expensive and limited to three battalions maximum. Like Angmar's other heroic unit, the Black Knights, they are not affected by Mornamarth's Edict of Carn Dûm.
