William H. Bassett (born December 28, 1935 in Evanston, Illinois, United States) is an American actor who provided the English voice of Jim Houseman in Metal Gear Solid and its remake The Twin Snakes. Outside the Metal Gear series, he has acted in TV shows such as Arrested Development, Reno 911!, Scrubs, The Invisible Man, Dharma & Greg, Days of Our Lives, Dallas, and The Young and the Restless. Bassett has also voiced characters in other video games such as Diablo II, WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos, and Fallout 3.
