The Draconian air dragon was a type of animal that existed on Sigma Draconis. This creature was the largest of the avians on the planet. It was known as a nocturnal animal that inhabited the mountain ranges of the world's southern hemisphere. Though its avian appearance was noted in its multiple pair of wings allowing it to fly, the air dragon was also covered with tough scales which was the source of its name. Whilst it was not aggressive to Humanoid life, it was not uncommon for attacking settlements when it encountered acute food shortages. Some among the Vulcan race claimed to had domesticated these creatures but no air dragon had survived long in captivity. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)
