Takitals were ritual battles conducted by various Amanin tribes on Maridun, organized in areas sacred to the Amanin. Their goal was to create a peace between the tribes. Imperial General Ziering and his army unknowingly became involved in a Takital, when they trespassed into such an area. They gained respect from an Amanin tribe, when the force held out during two grueling days of combat.
