A Clockwork Golem is a magical device, similar to a humanoid robot, constructed of nonelectrical components including gears and sprockets. They were designed in response to the push by the ASPEW to release House-elves from their servitude. Charmbridge Academy employs a fleet of Clockworks which operate the cafeteria and conduct custodial and groundskeeping duties under the supervision of Ben Journey (and the students who are assigned to serve detention under him). One company that produces Clockworks is the Tockmagi corporation.
