The Man was an unnamed character who bought a packet of crisps in the Rovers Return Inn, specifying that they had to be cheese and onion as they were all that "she" would eat. He promptly smashed his open hand down on the packet which he then took outside. Billy Walker explained to the perplexed regulars that "she" was his dog and he often bought a packet for her.
