Jimmy Moran is a character portrayed by Joe Marinelli in the ABC crime series Castle. Moran, a man with the unfortunate pseudonym of "the Rat", was a key Spolano crime family member and enforcer who, having turned State's witness, found himself the target of a Mafia hit. In "A Death in the Family", when Beckett and Castle describe to him the details of the murder of Dr. Leeds, he recognizes his own M.O., and that a very clear, "You're next", message is being sent by the hitman pursuing him.
