The 1954 National Football League championship game was the 22nd annual championship game. The NFL title game was held on December 26, 1954, at Cleveland Municipal Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio. This was the third straight title game between the Detroit Lions and the Cleveland Browns. The Detroit Lions had finished the 1954 season with a record of 9-2-1 and the Western Conference title. The Lions were led by quarterback Bobby Layne and running back Doak Walker.
